What is building elevation,

Building elevation is the outer surface of a house, you can see. It includes different elements like columns, windows, doors, roof and so on which can be built with different materials like brick, limestone, precast concrete, stucco, all kinds of sidings and composite panels. Architects mix two or more of these materials to design a good-looking elevation. Sometimes they have to use different materials because of structure limits, for example they can’t design heavy materials for a bay window which doesn’t have a suitable structure to carry the load.
